What I Believe

I believe children are far more capable than anxiety would have them believe.

I don't believe courage is something I give children. I believe it's something I help them recognize in themselves.

When a child comes into my office, I don't begin by telling them how to get better. I begin by getting to know them. Together, we learn how anxiety works, notice their strengths, and practice taking brave steps toward growth. I walk beside them, helping them recognize what has been there all along: they can do hard things.

That's resilience.

That's courage.

That's what it means to discover they're capable.

My Approach

For over ten years, I've had the privilege of helping children and families navigate OCD, anxiety, and related challenges using evidence-based treatment tailored to each child's unique needs.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). These approaches help children face fears, discover their capabilities, and create lasting change.

When strengthening the parent-child relationship is an important part of treatment, I draw on attachment-informed approaches. Because relationships are central to a child's development, my work is also informed by advanced training in attachment assessment, including the clinical application of the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI), caregiver-child attachment interviews, Theraplay® Levels 1 and 2, and principles from Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).

These approaches help me recognize strengths within the caregiver-child relationship and identify opportunities to foster greater connection, security, and growth.

I believe children grow best when they feel both supported and challenged, and parents are an important part of that process.

Ready to take the next step?

If OCD is beginning to take over your child's life, you don't have to face it alone.

Together, we'll help your child discover that they are capable of doing hard things while helping your family reconnect around confidence instead of fear.
